Have You Ever Really Experienced A Bad Day???

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day

(From: BAD DAY, by Daniel Powter)

Bad Days, How Do You React Over 'em???
Have you ever experienced bad lucks happened continuously just in one month? One week? Or even...one day? Actually this essay is inspired by my chatting with one of my friend. I don't know why, but he often text me whenever he had a bad day. Because last semester the intensity became more often, so about two last days latter when he greeted me in Facebook chat, and his first word was, "Uuhkk...a bad days!" The first things came into my mind were, "Huh? Again?" and "Can't you stop whining to me???"

I didn't want to be so cruel, though yes in fact, I was so grateful it was Facebook chatting, so he couldn't see my expression when he started telling me his bad day. For a kind of people like me who couldn't be so easily tell my very-really-serious problem to others (except to my parents , and to my very-very closest friend__ if they asked.), it's kinda strange. I mean, "Why me? Why did you choose me, when I've just had my own bad day?!"

But yeah, I decided to listen to him because first he is my friend and second what else am I supposed to do? I said that having good day or bad day is just an usual matter. Everybody is like that. He said that he had bad days occurred one by one just in one week, and it was different matters. The next, you all can predict it, I tried to be a good friend by giving him some advices about how to react after being hit by the bad days, saying something about being patient and doing introspection. The most ridiculous thing was I felt like was giving advices for myself. Because God know how bad was my reaction in dealing with bad days. Sigh...

Sometimes when I was really depressed, I considered my bad days as a punishment for my past mistakes. When it happened, I would  think what have I done in the past that made me "deserve" to get a bad luck. I thought, the bigger my mistake, the worse "the bad luck" would be. And when I felt that I was too innocent to have such a bad day, I'll be very-very-very angry! You know how it feel to have such a bad day. And deep inside my heart, I agreed with my friend. When you got something bad happen, you might still be able to smile and act wisely, but having bad things continuously, hit you one after another, well it's definitely different matters. When it happens to me the world feels so narrow, I can't breathe, feel like really want to bury myself deep down underground, and wanna to cry out in the middle of field, "God! How could you do this to meee?!"
How to Survive After Having A Bad Day, Whatever It Is???

Do I sound so exaggerating? Well you may say so, but I believe many people will have similar reactions, coz I can say something absolutely sure for all people in this world. Nobody expect of having a bad day and even bad days. Say, do you have the same thought as mine, that sometimes we feel too innocent to have such a bad day. I often heard people (well include of me) whine like this, "O My Lord, I hardly ever hurt others, hardly ever do something bad to others, never make disadvantage for others, but why... Why this bad luck happened to me?"
Have you ever think like that? Thanks then, coz it means that I'm not alone. ^_~
But... do we have to be trapped inside our bad day forever? Yes indeed, the fact that something doesn't suit us, is happened. And it's totally suck. But are we sure that we're the most suffering people in this world? I mean, who really want to have such a bad day. In fact, there are millions people having much worse condition, compared to us. Please check these out before you're gonna pity yourself and feel so pathetic. Just click the issues below once and see the worse bad days happening outside our tiny worlds
Compare them to our "final test pressure", "cat-fighting with our boy/girlfriends", or "a lecturer get mad to us". Do you still feel you're having the severest bad days?  If those links are error, just try to copy and paste them into Google or Yahoo search. Easy as a piece of cake. But please, be careful in choosing news, coz not all written in Google or Yahoo search are fair enough. It's not surprising to find the FAKE news made for propaganda. Just be careful, open your heart and you'll see which one is true.

Listen guys, these are not all about finding people who have worse cases to make us feel better. These are not all about looking for friend in the same 'sinking' boat. This is about how to open the window of our tiny world, view for the bigger one, then open and strengthen our heart. Whining, crying after having bad days are really human. But just do it once or twice, or three times and no more. Then all we need to do for the rest are:
Relaxation
Wipe your face with cold fresh water to calm down your temper. You may wipe other parts like hands, feet, part of your head, and back of your ears. Research has proven that wiping water to these parts will give you relaxation effects. Ways to prevent you from being psychologically stressed. Good for mental health ^_^

Pat your cheek while looking your reflection at the mirror and say loudly to yourself, "Wake up!"

Contemplation.
Although we feel too innocent and don't deserve to have such a bad day, but just think it after take a deep breath. Nobody is free from mistakes except angels and God. Maybe we've hurt some people, our beloved parents and teachers, our best friend, our classmates, whoever they are. Maybe the bad day is a kind of warning? But remember this, I personally don't want think God as a punisher giving us punishment for every bad deeds we've done. I prefer thinking that there must be messages for us to learn behind everything occurred in our life. My friend said that He do both, punishing and educating, for our sake. But I think, if we keep thinking too long whether the bad day is a punishment or not, we'll stuck on the level that we start blaming God, blaming everything and getting nothing as the result.

So instead of keep sinking in the ocean of regret, how if we try to look it from the positive side? At least we are given chance to contemplate and fix them all, right? Human develop themselves by learning from their mistakes. Sometimes, bad day happens to make us struggle, fight, and be much stronger. C'est la vie. Can you predict God's plan? Usually bad day can turn to be the future good day. It often happens to me. Believe it. Just read many success stories, for example: learn how Abraham Lincoln finally be the president after experienced many bad days: fail in his previous campaign and also business. Well, lay aside the fact that he couldn't enjoy his position as a president for a long time because he was killed sooner. But people remember his name, written with the golden ink. One of the most inspiring figure, still such a good ending, wasn't it? Then learn from 999 "bad days"" of Alva Edison and also the struggle of Soichiro Honda  before creating such a wonderful thing called Honda  we use now. Most of successful people , succeed  in dealing with their bad days. Nowadays motivations are everywhere, we even can google them. We may look for them from our surroundings. Ask our parents, our teachers, our friends, how did they deal with their bad days. What made them survive up to now. As I said before, all people must once faced bad days, but the reactions are different, and that is the most crucial point.

Curve Up Your Lips =)
Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...

If you smile
Through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile...

That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

(From SMILE, by Michael Jackson)

Honestly, this is the hardest part of all. I don't know how Michael could create a formula like this. Smile where we are in pain? Whenever I tried to, it turned to be a grin. But sometimes reversed-psychology really works. I often heard it from those motivation seminars; "If you want to change yourself, start it with your own gestures." So, maybe it's better for me to start training in front of the mirror. Smile...smile...smile... herrrrggghh, but I'm sure all of you can do it hundred times better than me. Phew!

Start The Brand New Days
The last, remember my favorite quote, "Bad luck for today, won't work for the other days. Tomorrow must be a much better day." When we're happy, the world will be happy, together with us on the contrary,  if  we're sad, we'll sad alone. So doesn't it better to make the whole world laugh with us? Let's we fix ourselves, change, to make a better tomorrow, to reach our happiness. Now together, cry out loud, BAD DAY GO AWAY!

Last Words
A blinding flash of white light
Lit up the sky over Gaza tonight

People running for cover
Not knowing whether they’re dead or alive
They came with their tanks and their planes
With ravaging fiery flames
And nothing remains
Just a voice rising up in the smoky haze

We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our school
But our spirit will never die

We will not go down
In Gaza tonight
Whenever I'm sinking in my sorrow after having a bad day, my mind always wander across the sea. There, thousand miles from my tiny world, there are real bad days are happening every day, every minute, every second. Suddenly I'm feeling so ashamed of being a crybaby over simple problems while innocent people are killed there every second, struggle for their life, without losing their faith. Gaza... I'm so sorry that now I can't do anything for you but pray for you... always...
